What is Lighting Plus?

Lighting Plus is a service of Efficiency Vermont designed to help targeted Vermont businesses lower their electricity costs and reduce peak electric demands. These businesses are located in specific areas of the state where electricity demands are high. Lighting Plus is part of Efficiency Vermont's larger effort to help prevent the need for costly new power-supply infrastructure.

How do I know if my business qualifies for this service?

Efficiency Vermont has identified a group of businesses which are located in specific geographic areas of Vermont. These businesses were targeted because of the significant potential for the cost-effective installation of peak electric demand reduction efficiency measures as a result of receiving this service 

Our Lighting Plus contractor, RISE Engineering, will be contacting targeted businesses in the coming months to explain the service and determine interest in participation. If my business is qualified to get Lighting Plus services, what will I get?

Lighting Plus offers a free energy analysis of the customer's business facility. The findings will be presented in a report which outlines our recommendations and the associated savings for lighting efficiency upgrades, as well as other potential measures to help reduce electricity usage and costs.

Lighting Plus will also pay for 100% of the cost of installing recommended lighting improvements. Additional incentives are also available if our analysis identifies other cost-effective electrical efficiency improvements in the building.
