| 2010 Northeast Business Leaders for Energy Efficiency presented by Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnership (NEEP) March 30-31, 2010 LEXINGTON, MA, March 23, 2010 - Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) has announced that FiberMark will be recognized as a 'Business Leader for Energy Efficiency' at the Northeast Energy Efficiency Summit in Boston, MA on March 31. Nominated by Efficiency Vermont, the company is being honored for its continued efforts to advance energy efficiency which have resulted in annual energy savings of over 1,835,846 kWh, and cost savings of over $142,000. Over the past several years, FiberMark, in partnership with Efficiency Vermont, has looked at its facility-wide energy consumption with an eye on improving efficiency and production while decreasing its electricity usage and dependence on fossil fuels. |

Efficiency Vermont's Refrigerator Recycling Rebate Program

A Vermont nonprofit hoping to save energy and reduce pollution launched a program Wednesday that pays $30 for old refrigerators and recycles their usable parts. The first refrigerator was collected from the Swanton home of Ellsworth Moore in front of television and newspaper crews in the hopes of publicizing the Efficiency Vermont program that wants to collect about 3,000 refrigerators and freezers a year from Vermont homes.
